Notes:

General Notes (Not much to talk about in most of it beyond "hey there is stuff to kill"):
  • Near the top of the mountain I found a small, green thyme (herb).
    • Not sure if this was random; someone dropped it; or if it always appears there
  • I really like how the mountain stream comes out of the cave near the top. (Good level design)
  • The caretaker at the top is looking for a replacement
    • He won't answer any questions from you though
  • In the cave, I like how the rock-diggers are mostly at the ends of the tunnels, making them longer (Good level design)

Introduction: Intended Audience: The goal of this guide is to help new players get started in BatMud. This guide is roughly divided into advice for newbies (levels 1-15) and lowbies (levels 16-30) I'm going to assume that people reading this have some familiarity with other text based MUDs (Multi User Dungeons). Guild Location: Continent : Rothikgen World Location: Shadowkeep Location of Guild: In the Imposing Conservatorium. Go down "stairway" Guild Requirements: Civilized Background Map of Shadow Sabres and Bard Guilds: Disclaimer: There's a lot of things I still don't know about the guild and the official documentation is pretty sketchy. Take everything with a healthy degree of skepticism as a lot of it could be wrong. That being said, I'm currently ranked #32 in the guild in style points, and have ran semi-repeatable tests, so I have tried to base my findings on logs/data vs. gut instinct when possible. If you see something wrong, please let me know in the comments so I can correct it! My Overview of the Guild: I love this guild, but I have a hard time recommending it. Riftwalker Guide

Guild Location: Continent : Rothikgen World Location: Randomly moves but can be found in the lake in north-west Rothikgen north of the Riftwalker cave. Look for the 'O' in the lake, and once on it "touch sphere" to enter the guild. Warning: There are a large number of vampire bats (they show up as 'B' on the map) that roam around the guild and will absolutely murder you when you are full of EXP and trying to get to the guild to spend it. Guild Requirements: Magical Background Disclaimer: I'm only level 12 in the guild. So there are huge gaps in my knowledge about being a Riftwalker. I'm writing this guide to document what I'm learning as I learn it. My Overview of the Guild: Riftwalkers have the ability to summon an elemental entity to tank for you. This provides some of the best Newbie solo abilities in Batmud as you can cast damaging spells while letting your rift entity take the hits. The trade-off is that Riftwalkers underperform in parties
