Arelium Clock Tower

Description:
Quests:- Very small newbie area in the center of Arelium.
- Represents the underlying code that runs Batmud
- Go to the center of town. The clock tower is surrounded by fountains with a door to it on the west side
- This area is a holdover from when true newbies (level 1-5) had to grind EXP. The monsters are trivial and don't reward much. The area is worth going through once for the explore EXP but you probably won't spend much time here.
- None that I know of.
Equipment:
- You can pick up a pocket watch, a baby lag monster claws, and a horrible looking kludge. Which are novel, but not worth much.
Open Questions:
- Where is the parent lag monster?
- Are there any other hidden areas or secrets beyond the closet?
Notes:
General Notes:
- If you go north to the storage room and "look at boxes" you will reveal a secret room!
- There are five aggressive small errors in the next room. Pretty easy to kill though.
- In the dead player room there is a bat carrying messages between wizards :)
- In the mass of machinery is a maze that you can wander around. It isn't a maze you can really map though.
- There are two main "paths" through it. One to a newbie wizard, and the other to a baby lag monster.
- The baby lag monster drops a watch which ... isn't that helpful since you can set alarms in real life ... but is neat from a roleplaying perspective.
