Description:
  • A small area that provides a good piece of equipment for newbie fighters
  • Has an interesting story to tie in with the Newbie forest area, and requires you to really look at everything in your environment.

Notes:

Entrance (Grassy Field and Initial Forest):
  • You quickly come upon a scout, (Ilieth), who is disguised as a tree and is crying
    • "Talk to Ilieth" to initiate a conversation with them
    • It turns out the elf was drinking wine with Lord Daemoor and while they were intoxicated someone stole the Lord's documents. Now the scout needs to return them or they will be demoted to cleaning duty
    • Some additional backstory, Lord Daemoor is the "Newbie King" in the Newbie Forest. He isn't a good person.
    • The scout bought the wine from the monks in the Church of the Old Gods, and offered it to the guards. Bad mistake
    • The scout is scared of the forest, so it is up to you to go into the forest kill the thieves, retrieve the documents, and give them to the scout.
  • You quickly come to a barricade that blocks your progress. If you go back north you can "climb slope" to go around it.
    • "jump slope" also works :)
  • Down the slope, if you "search grass" you will accidently step on a mouse and kill it.
    • You can now pick up the small dead forest mouse
    • I'm sure there will be some animal we'll need to feed it to.
  • In the bare opening there is a rock formation that "not even the strongest monster could move" but it looks like it has something buried under it.
  • If you kill the fox that is in one of the rooms, it drops a dead bunny rabbit.
    • We're getting more food for something/someone
  • By the lake, if you "search hole" in a tree you will squish another squirrel that you can now pick up.
  • If you "climb nest" to the west you will find yourself in a tree with an ENORMOUS goshawk
    • I think we found out who to feed all the food too
    • If you look at the pile in the nest it is filled with magical equipment
    • The goshawk blocks you from taking items from the pile
    • I fed the squirrel to the goshawk and it got excited but then angry so it kicked me up over the camp!!!
  • All the creatures in the camp are aggressive, but they are also pretty easy to kill
  • The thief leader is a catfolk who is looking frustrated
    • When you kill them, they drop the documents
    • You can't read them though which is annoying.
  • Looking at the table in the tent you can see the thieves plans
    • They had put sleeping drugs in the wine and made sure the scout picked up the wine.
  • Go back to the forest by going to where you met the woodsman and "swim downstream", then go back and "climb slope"
  • Give the folder to the scout and you will complete the level quest. Stick around for a minute because then then scout will give you a few other items!
    • Message for completing the quest:
      • You give a folder filled with secret documents of the lord Daemoor to Scout.
      • Ilieth says 'Ah thanks! You saved my position in Lord Daemoor's court. Let's see if I find something that you might find useful.'   
      • Congratulations! You have just completed Acquire documents!
      • You receive 3647 gold as a reward for completing the quest.
      • Ilieth says 'Here, have this. I got this from ancient titan called Hyperion when I helped him once; I was on an exploring mission in lucentium and I met him at a beautiful marble sanded beach. He had lost some diamonds and I found several of them and he gave me this as reward. I think he still misses some of them and is still needing help to find them. Ah, wait a bit still, I'll give you something else too.'    
      • Ilieth gives you shiny necklace.
      • Ilieth says 'Have this too, this appeared from nowhere some minutes ago. I don't know what it is and what it does but you will probably find that out. Thanks again for your help! It really saved my career as a scout.'
      • Ilieth gives you strange looking ball.
    • If you "shatter ball" it will give you 50k experience!!

  • A small spiny creature is snuffling around in the undergrowth
    • 700 exp
  • A small black bird is sitting on a juniper branch
    • 500 exp
  • A fox is hiding behind some bushes, stalking rabbits
    • 1800 exp
  • A HUGE(tm) one-eyed woodcutter is working on the barracade

Go down "stairway" Guild Requirements: Civilized Background Map of Shadow Sabres and Bard Guilds: Disclaimer: There's a lot of things I still don't know about the guild and the official documentation is pretty sketchy. Take everything with a healthy degree of skepticism as a lot of it could be wrong. That being said, I'm currently ranked #32 in the guild in style points, and have ran semi-repeatable tests, so I have tried to base my findings on logs/data vs. gut instinct when possible. Riftwalker Guide

Guild Location: Continent : Rothikgen World Location: Randomly moves but can be found in the lake in north-west Rothikgen north of the Riftwalker cave. Look for the 'O' in the lake, and once on it "touch sphere" to enter the guild. Warning: There are a large number of vampire bats (they show up as 'B' on the map) that roam around the guild and will absolutely murder you when you are full of EXP and trying to get to the guild to spend it. Guild Requirements: Magical Background Disclaimer: I'm only level 12 in the guild. So there are huge gaps in my knowledge about being a Riftwalker. I'm writing this guide to document what I'm learning as I learn it. My Overview of the Guild: Riftwalkers have the ability to summon an elemental entity to tank for you.
