Continent: Laenor Description: A "high level newbie/midbie" area. Good for practicing how to run a party. All the creatures here are of the "good alignment" making this a good place for evil characters to strengthen their reputation. Many of the creatures in this area poison. It really helps to have someone in your party that can cure it. Quests: N one that I know of.  Equipment: Steel Studded Gauntlets [ Link ] +2% Stun Obtained from Puff the Dragon A Dragonscale Tail Guard +2 Hit, -1 STR, +1% Brawling Obtained from Puff the Dragon Open Questions: Still haven't killed Puff yet... Continent: Lucetium Description: Inspired by the songs of the band Rush. A very storied area of Batmud history. While it has fallen out of favor with a lot of players, it used to be a very popular equipment run area for mid-level parties.   Continent: Lucetium Description: Important: This is an "instanced" area. Basically a new version of the area is created for every player that enters it, so multiple people can attempt to complete the quests here without getting in each others ways. You can not enter with a party. You must be solo. A number of the  Efiilas  continent quests can be done here These tasks fall under the "ultra hard work" FYI Also the source of magical water that can "cure" player afflictions. Continent: Lucetium Description: Home of a pretty easy area quest Would be a good place for newbies to earn EXP if it was easier to get to... These areas do NOT show up as question marks (?) in the outworld. I recommend using the realm map in the official Batmud client to find them Quests: Area Quest :   The lost troglodyte rod A pretty easy area quest for a mid level player (or a group of low level players) This quest has two parts: You need to return the rod of the ancestors to the altar You need to kill all of the renegade Troglodytes. Equipment: N one that I know of.  Open Questions: None. This seems like a pretty straightforward area. Map: Notes: Troglodyte Village Entrance: Note: The entrance is not marked as a question mark in the outerworld. So you will need to find it using the realm map in the batmud client or looking at the area map above. Troglodyte Village (Inside): The village itself is pretty boring, but there are a number of wandering villagers you can kill. ...

Continent:   Laenor Description: The town of Oakvale is known for their faerie merchants in the south You can buy herbs, gnome gadgets, clothing, and some weird specialty items here. A mid-level area but there are no aggressive monsters so it is safe to explore There are some secrets for players who want to delve into the backstory and help the townsfolk. Quests: Get rid of the ghost in the stable Not a tracked area quest, but it is something to do. Equipment: Brown gardening gloves +5% Plant Lore Can be bought from Kia-kai Stormwind for 30k gold A green and brown rubber frogsuit Will transform you into a frog. This is *not* a buff. Can be bought from Kia-kai Stormwind for 10k gold A gold necklace with a sparkling red ruby +5% Bargen A red velvet choker with a silver heart +1 CHA, +1 Avoid Dropped by Stephanie Carmin Short sword 'flicker' +1 Fire Damage. +Light You can buy this from Kia-kai Stormwind for 4260 gold He also wields it so you can get it by killing him. Continent:  Lucetium Description: Treetop village with a lot of locked doors, each with a unique key that changes per boot. Basically, expect to do a lot of searching to unlock all the doors. There's some "secrets" in the locked rooms, but mostly this just opens up more areas to find creatures to kill. In the "non-secret" areas, there is only on aggressive creature (a racist old catfolk) that will attack non-catfolk players on sight. This makes the area fairly safe to explore for newbies. The locked rooms do not grant explore EXP though, so feel free to skip them unless you are trying to solve the mini-quests here. The bridge guards WILL become aggressive if you start to attack townsfolk though. So be careful about that. Tons of secrets to discover and it is linked to several other areas E.g. Orc Samurai Some of the creatures will block you if you attack them and try to flee, so this is a good area to come with a party so you can ensure you kill things without n...

Continent:  Furnachia Description: Large area with lots of rooms and secrets to explore Seems like a great mid-level party area. If you are learning how to lead a party this is a great place to do that. I'd recommend bringing a couple of ropes if you want to explore some of the secrets.
