Revelstone

Continent: Laenor

Description:

• A very popular place for midbie players to earn EXP and money
• Players will often make a circuit of Revelstone, Mithril Stonedown, and the Urvill Tree
• There are lots of creatures here to kill, and it's a fairly safe place to kill them (not a lot of wandering monsters).
• The first half of LQ 40 is also available here.

Quests:

• LQ 40: Sacrifice Staff
• Note: This is the first part of the quest.
• A very important note: You have to be in the party that kills Lord Elena to get credit for the LQ. If you find the staff on the ground because someone else killed her, you can not use it.
• To complete the quest you will need to take the staff to Lord Foul's Creche to sacrifice it. Link

• None that I know of. 

Open Questions:

• Biggest questions revolve around the hall of gifts and the unfettered one:
• Even though you need the staff to open up the hall of gifts, this isn't required for the Level Quest.
• What's the point of the map in the Unfettered One's cave?
• What is past the aggressive Lord in the hall of gifts?
• Is there anything special about the items in the hall of gifts?
• What happens when you give the kriss to the unfettered one?

Notes:

Entrance (Main Courtyard and Entrance):

• The tower near the entrance that has "enterwest" "entereast" commands. The tower seems quite large so I'll cover it in a different sub-section after I explore more of the main castle
• I'm going to be doing more exploring than killing since I'm currently level 37 and the guards would require several attack/retreat/regen/attack cycles to tackle.
• That being said, I learned Revelstone citizens will get aggressive if you use/cast offensive abilities
• You can threaten the poet in the lounge if you want
• I don't think it does anything, but the poet admits he's only doing this to pick up girls
• At the entrance of the hall of gifts a tour guide is crying
• If you "cheer up guide" she will tell you that High Lord Elena has locked the door with the Staff of Law.
• You can not interact with the door like you would a normal door.
• To open the door, you need to get the Staff of Law from High Lord Elena (by killing her). Once you have it use the commend "unlock door with staff" and the door will dissolve away.
• Note: This is not required for the Level Quest if you are working on that!
• In the hall of gifts, Lord Amatin will attack you and blocks both exits so you can not escape
• I totally died. Got him down to around 70% hp as a level 37 Shadow Sabre, so you can judge how skilled you might need to be to survive.
• There are some items in this room
• A large oil-painting
• A porcelain statue
• A beautiful vase
• Behind Lord Amatin in the room north is a backroom containing a chest
• In the entrance to the lords quarters, the Bloodguard stops you from going south, but surprisingly lets you into High Lord Elena's room
• The guard, Terrel, can banish you FYI so make sure you have Heavy Weight or a lead ring if you decide to fight them.
• Once you get past Terrel, you can go into Lord Mhoram's room and meet him
• He tells you he had a dream the previous night, and that you took the krill of Loric from the Hall of Gifts and showed it to the Unfettered One who lives up above Revelstone
• That explains both the Unfettered One and the Hall of Gifts!
• High Lord Elena has a bloodguard in her room though, so will likely need a party to kill for the level quest.
• High Lord Elena casts some top tier mage spells so will absolutly destroy most characters. She doesn't do a lot of physical damage
• Her bloodguard guard will do a ton of melee damage to make up for that gap

Tower Levels 1, 2, 3 and above Revelstone:

• Nothing super exciting in the towers except that they are hard to map
• Once you cross the bridge on the battlements, you can then go down the stairway into the main keep
• Above the battlements in the mountain. In that mountain is Zellsquish the Unfettered One in a cave.
• There is also a map in this cave
• When I looked at the map, there was an 'X' over a mountain nearby. I don't know if this implies that's where I am right now, or if this is an area to explore if you have mountaineering.
