Urvile Tree (Also known as Soaring Woodhelvin)
Continent: Laenor
Description:
- An upper mid-level area for players to explore.
- In keeping with "something for everyone" in the "Thomas Covenant" group of areas: It's tougher than Revelstone, but easier than Foul's Keep.
- None that I know of.
Equipment:
- Sun amulet
- +3 WIS
- Obtained from killing Hirebrand Davinor
- Batwiki Entry: [Link]
- Necklace of Elewyn's Heart
- +1 WIS
- Obtained by killing the Urville Loremaster

Open Questions:
- What are the bodies used for on the first level of Woodhelvin?
- Apparently merchants can "cannibalize" them for flesh, but I'm curious if there are other uses of them.

Notes:
Entrance (Trunk and First Landing):
- Things don't seem to be going well for the Woodhelvin people...
- General Advice:
- There are a combination of wandering monsters and static monsters. Only one of the wandering monsters is aggressive
- The rest of the monsters will become aggressive if you use offensive skills/spells.
- Many of the monsters will cast poison, so unless you have an easy way to cure poison you need to not stick around for long when fighting them. Instead you need to quickly retreat after doing damage.
- Therefore, you need to be very careful about not making wandering monsters turn aggressive. Clear out rooms and move slowly if you are doing this for exp.
- On the first landing there are two bodies that you can pick up if you want
- The bodies are not edible if you have "eat corpse"
- Not sure what they are there for...
- There are cavewights wandering around the first level, so be careful about a monster joining the fun if you are attacking something else.
- There is also an aggressive "Strong" guard wandering around which was more than I could handle as a level 36 player.
- Warning: The various monsters (fiends and twisted humanoids) will CAST POISON so avoid sticking in the room with it while fighting!
- They'll cast dispel good which can mess with some protection spells.
North Limb:
- Of the three limbs, this is the most popular to go to since a popular EQ target is at the end of it.
- This residents of this limb are peaceful townsfolk who are trying to protect their tree.
West Limb:
- This is a pretty safe place if you are just trying to gain EXP to wander around and kill things.
- Not much to say beyond it looks like the Urviles are winning the fight against the townspeople...
- If you attack Elder Xerses they will cast banish at you, so make sure you have a lead ring or heavy weight cast on you.
- He will also cast fireball (an medium area attack spell)
- One of the "easier" 30k monsters in Batmud that I've found.
East Limb:
- There are serveral wandering Urviles up here including another aggressive Strong Urvile Guard
- The real target up here is the Urvile Loremaster which drops a necklace that gives +1 Wisdom. It can be tricky to kill with the other wandering monsters though.
Kill Tracker:
- A crafty urvile is trying to set fire to the tree
- 7500 exp
- A grotesque humanoid licks its chops
- 9500 exp
- Will drop a random weapon
- A twisted fiend turns both heads toward you
- 10000 exp
- Will drop a random weapon
- A man hides here, ashamed that he wet his pants
