Quests:

  • LQ 24: Zoy's Inn
    • Need to retrieve an old paperweight, a silver disc, and a saucer
    • Requires a rope. While the quest text recommends buying one from the Arelium Tinker store, there is one you can find on the pirate ship.

Notes:

Entrance (Inn, River Bank, and Pirate Ship):

  • I'm going to wander a bit since I did the level quest around 15 years ago. So this isn't a quest focused write-up.
  • In Zoy's Inn, if you ask the captain about the quest he says that he's looking for his three possessions that were stolen by bandits, but that the bandits were found killed by a bear and did not have the items on them.
  • Another cool trick, you can 'pay' inkeeper 100 gold for a room
    • You can then unlock the doors and go into them
    • You can also "sleep" in the room to quickly regen if you don't want to wait on your other regen skills.
    • Basically this gives you a bonus "camping" slot
  • Just north of the Inn, you can "swim river" to get to the river bank
    • Note: When I tried this with a lower level character, the river instead swept me out to the outerworld south of the area, and I took around 40 damage. This happened again the second time I tried to swim across. The third time I cast floating on myself and was able to make it.
  • The old man stops me from going into the hut, saying "visiting hours are over"
    • Not sure if there are specific hours that he will let you in or not.
  • In the hut, if you 'search bed' you will find a parachute
  • Continuing north, Harpo the pirate will block you from continuing further.
  • If you kill Harpo, and continue north, there are rocks there that make an 'X'.
    • You can 'dig' three times to find a pirate coffer
    • I was able to force it open
    • It contained a little less than 400 gold coins
  • Onboard the pirate ship you can find a rope in the stern, which can be useful for later exploration
  • In the captain's room, you can "search chests" to find the bronze paperweight for the LQ
Northern Pass (Yettis):

  • There is a ferocious Yeti just north of the warning sign
    • It hits very hard, but doesn't have a ton of hitpoints
  • Once you kill the Yeti, you can "enter crevice" to go into the cave
    • A female Yeti is there, which is even tougher
    • According to other sites, she drops a +dmg -3 dex collar

North Western Pass (Forest, Snakes, Rope):

  • In the north western forest there are a lot of aggressive animals.
    • For a level 34 Shadow Sabre, they are trivial to kill, but if you are doing the LQ you should be aware of them.
  • At the cliff:
    • Option 1:
      • "Tie rope to stake" to be able to go down the cliff.
      • "climb rope" to get back up
    • Option 2:
      • Wear parachute and "jump"
      • "climb up" to get back up
    • Option 3:
      • If your character is a duck, you can just jump off and fly down
  • At the bottom of the cliff
    • Kill the packrat to get the golden saucer!!!
  • Going back to the meadow, you can "enter hole" to climb down to the snakemen breading ground
    • When you can't go any further, "slither north" to go down into the treasure room
  • "Search pile" at the end to get the silver disk
  • I do not recommend attacking the snakes in the end room unless you are more advanced
    • Note, the snakes in the room attack if you start any offensive skills or spells
    • Individually the snakes aren't that bad, but with three of them in the room they can get tricky. 
    • They will also try to poison you which is no fun
Quest Completion:

  • I gave the silver disc, the gold disc, and the bronze paperweight to the captain, and he thanked me for each item. If you have not completed the LQ before you will get the following message:
    • Congratulations! You have just completed Zoy's inn!
    • You receive 4314 gold as a reward for completing the quest.
    • Congratulations, you have solved the quest!
    • Captain gives you a handful of mithril coins as a reward

Guild Location: Continent : Rothikgen World Location: Shadowkeep Location of Guild: In the Imposing Conservatorium. Go down "stairway" Guild Requirements: Civilized Background Map of Shadow Sabres and Bard Guilds: Disclaimer: There's a lot of things I still don't know about the guild and the official documentation is pretty sketchy. Take everything with a healthy degree of skepticism as a lot of it could be wrong. That being said, I'm currently ranked #32 in the guild in style points, and have ran semi-repeatable tests, so I have tried to base my findings on logs/data vs. gut instinct when possible. Riftwalker Guide

Guild Location: Continent : Rothikgen World Location: Randomly moves but can be found in the lake in north-west Rothikgen north of the Riftwalker cave. Look for the 'O' in the lake, and once on it "touch sphere" to enter the guild. Warning: There are a large number of vampire bats (they show up as 'B' on the map) that roam around the guild and will absolutely murder you when you are full of EXP and trying to get to the guild to spend it. Guild Requirements: Magical Background Disclaimer: I'm only level 12 in the guild. So there are huge gaps in my knowledge about being a Riftwalker.
