Mountain Dwarves

Description:
- One of the oldest areas of batmud. Recoded in 1998
- Good (but risky) mid-level experience area
- All guards will turn aggressive if ANYONE attacks one. So another player going through here can really mess up your day.
- Save the king's son from Duegar dwarves
Equipment:
- None that I know of.
Open Questions:
- How do you get a key to open the jail cell?
- Also, what/who is in the jail cell?
- How do you get a key to open the northern gate?
- Also what is past the northern gate?
- Where do you find the Duegar dwarves and the King's son?
Notes:
Entrance (And Dwarf Village):
- The dwarves can wander outside into the outerworld. So you may encounter mountain dwarfs picking berries in the valley around the area.
- If you attack the dwarf guard, they send out an alarm that turns other guards agressive
- Text:
- The Dwarf guard manages to alert the city guards!
- An alarm sounds in the town, and the residents begin to panic! You hear
- guards yelling 'Get those foreigners!
- The alarm will end after 10 minutes-ish
- If any guards had attacked you previously they will re-agro on you and start the whole alarm thing again.
- I would recommend not annoying the guards.
- There's a lot of wandering guards in this city, and pretty much every room has a standing guard. So if they turn aggressive things can get really interesting really quickly
- In the Guard HQ there is a locked cell. I don't know where the key is for it, but my guess is the Dwarf Captain has it.
- Along Main Street there is a general store
- The store doesn't have anything to sell but they will buy your equipment which is nice
- Along South Street there is an armour store and a weapon store.
- Like the general store, it doesn't sell anything but they will buy equipment
- To the north, on North Street, and to the south, on South Street, there are a number of dwarf residences.
- These are good places to kill dwarves (or hide out) without worrying too much about guards
- To the north, there is a Northern Passage, and at the end of it is a locked gate
- I do not know where to get the key for this gate. Maybe the gate guard?
- In the castle at the throne room there are a dwarf counselor and king asking for help
- If you "ask king about help" they will respond saying that their son was kidnapped by Duergar dwarves in the caves. They are offering a reward to bring their son back and to kill the Duergars.
Dwarven Mines:
- Occasionally when wandering through he mines the roof will collapse dropping boulders on you. This does around 150 damage.
Kill Tracker:
- A mountain dwarf picking berries
- 3880 - 4440 exp
- A dwarf guard standing guard
- 7537 exp
- A Dwarf Miner
- 6100 - 6957 exp
- Drops an iron pick (sells for around 14 gold)
- Drops a gold nugget (sells for around 75 gold)
