Cornfields

Continent: Lucetium

Overview:
  • A good place for lowbies to earn EXP, though there are a lot of aggressive monsters here
  • Most monsters drop coins, which also means you can earn some money here
Quests:

  • Effiilas Daily Quest: Find the Notes in the Cornfield Monestary
    • A dresser will appear in the Monastery. For me it was in the guard's room. You can "search dresser" to find the note.
Equipment:
  • I've heard tales of a "dim ring" that can be found here.
    • It has a 40k sacrifice value, and provides +avoid
Open Questions:
  • I've found one secret room in this area, but I've heard there is a second
  • What is up with the iron ring with the inscription "brilliance"?
Map:
Map of the Cornfields

Notes:

Entrance (Cornfield):
  • So this is a cornfield that was taken over by giant mantises, and the mantises are farming the fields now?
  • Lots of aggressive mantises in this area
Cave (and Temple):
  • In the first room if you "look at grave" it will summon an aggressive skeleton
    • If you look at it again you see the grave is a memorial to Harad, the brave hobbit who tried to stop the hopper swarm
  • Despite the warning if you look at him, the holy man wasn't that hard to kill
Forest (and Barbarian Village):
  • There's a little boy attempting to hide in the bushes with a pumpkin helmet. Nothing much else to say, that just seemed a bit weird.
  • Why can't a barbarian village be nice for once?
  • There is a well in the village that is dry and smells, but I can't seem to interact with it.
Beach (plus Lake and Troll/Orc caves):
  • If you go into the lake there's really only three rooms, but it'll let you swim forever either north/south, but you are not really going anywhere.
  • To the south of the beach is a huge troll, so be careful if you are a newbie/lowbie and go swimming.
  • The huge war troll (troll chief) is much tougher than any of the other creatures in this area. Be careful!
  • I could not figure out how to save the slaves in the troll cave.
  • When you kill the orc chieftain they drop an iron ring. Normally this wouldn't bear mentioning, but if you look at it, the ring has the word "brilliance" inscribed on the inside...
  • In the orc storage room, you can "enter barrel" to go into the basement.
