Plura's Castle
Continent: Laenor
Description:
- An ancient and abandoned castle, taken over by dragons, ghosts, and (worst of all) musicians
- Decent place for newbies to explore and gain EXP, as long as they avoid the two big aggressive monsters.
- Great place for midbie EQ parties to get experience taking down bigger monsters.
- None that I know of.
Equipment:
- An ancient Dragon's amulet
- +2 SPR, +Light
- Obtained by killing the Piers Dragon (75k monster)
- A small jeweled belt
- +2 SPR
- Obtained by killing Blur (100k monster)
Open Questions:
As a general point, there obviously are secret areas in this castle I haven't discovered how to access yet. I feel like I just scraped the surface of exploring this area.- How do you get past the huge stone in the basement?
- There's also three scary ghosts (all named dread) throughout the castle that drop semi-unique items like brilliant gem. Is this related to getting past the stone in the basement?
- What is up with the armchair, and the "answer to life being MUD"?
- What is up with the famous guitarist's guitar, and who are you trying to get to notice you?

Notes:
General Castle Notes:
- Be careful when exploring this castle since there are two big monsters that are aggressive. They don't move so once you know where they are you can avoid them.
- Carla the Guitarist is playing in the eastern end of the castle
- When they aren't there, music will come from the trumpet in the ceiling. The description actually changes once Carla is no longer in the room (probably because you killed her).
- Going further east you encounter a nice room with a nice armchair
- If you "sit armchair" you'll have a discussion with yourself where you wonder what the answer to life is and come up with the answer 'MUD'. Not sure if this has any significant meaning or not...
- Continuing around the eastern end of the castle, you'll find a guitar laying on the floor
- You can "play guitar" to make some music, but I haven't found another use for it yet.
- As a general FYI, there is a significant difference between normal rats, big rats, and huge rats
- Huge rats are 25k exp monsters and will wreck you if you are not expecting a real fight.
- If you keep going around, you will eventually find yourself in an "Evil Room" with a very angry and aggressive demon called Blur.
- This is the main target of most midbie equipment parties.
- As a warning, Blur can see invisible players...
South Western Side of Castle:
- There is a "famous guitarist" in a small side-passage to the mid-western side of the castle
- They are practicing in a large music hall
- Warning: They are quite tough to fight. They drop a blood red guitar if you kill them.
- They also drop a pair of boots with an interesting description (telling you all the ways they can protect your feet) but when casting identify at them, they look pretty normal and don't have any special stats.
- If you look at the guitar, it says you be sure to be noticed if you play it in the right place...
- Playing it in the music hall produces the message:
- A blast of guitar music strikes you and almost knocks you down! You make a lot of noise that can be heard across the country.
- There is a coldown with playing the guitar...
- I tried playing it other places and it didn't do anything...
- Further south, you will encounter a spooky intersection where you will feel a presence of someone else in the room with you.
- Casting see invisible and see magic did not reveal anything.
- You also can't play the guitar in this room.
- Continuing north from the spooky intersection is another tough scary ghost that drops a unique belt.
- Further north you come along a white ghost and a black ghost
- They are also tough, and will agro if you attack one of them making this a tricky fight.
- Going to the west of the scary intersection, you will encounter a cute little dragon
- Be careful, if you keep going west, you will find its mom.
- Past the baby dragon is an aggressive Piers Dragon
- If you are just exploring, the dragon does not seem to be able to see invisible players.
- In the north-west of the castle is a big room with a gravestone in the middle of it.
- You can "move stone left" to open it up and reveal a stairway to the basement
- There is text on the gravestone warning that many people have died to the evil powers under the stone.
- In the basement, the wraith in the shape of a man is quite difficult. It's not aggressive luckily, but be careful attacking it.
- Going to the east, you will eventually run into a huge stone that is blocking the passageway
- There is a rusty spade that spawns in this room. So that may be related to moving the boulder...
- I don't know how to move this stone or get past it.
